2016 Travel Plans

2016 Travel Plans

Hi guys, I haven’t done a life update post in forever. As you might have noticed, I have been posting so irregularly and inconsistently these past couple of weeks. Work has been busy, I’ve travelled a bit on the weekends, and I went back to another hobby that is frankly taking up so much of my time. I won’t talk about that other hobby since that’s more of my guilty pleasure – but I’ll say that it sure helped my English skillzz.

For this life lately update, I’ll be talking about my 2016 travel plans – as inspired by Aileen’s latest blog post. It also gives me a timeline on what I have to look forward to as my planner is already so whacked with all the plans (and poems and lyrics) I wrote on it.

burot beach

January

Calatagan, Batangas City, PH. Vitamin sea with my mother’s side of the family. In which I saw plenty of weird sea creatures and somehow stepped on a sea urchin. Blog post will be up soon.

Venice Piazza, McKinley, PH. A taste of Italy. Pastel houses, river boats. European vibes. Blog post will also be up soon.

hong kong

February

Hong Kong. 4D3N trip with my college friends. Our first time out of the country and with no parental guidance whatsoever. I made the itinerary and there are so many things we have to do with a short amount of time. I predict running after buses and/or trains.

Baguio, PH. Strawberry picking with my officemates and visiting a known haunted house. Wish me luck?

pinatubo-3

March

Pinatubo, PH. Planned hike with my uncle and aunt.

singapore-166544

April

Calaguas, PH. Proposed trip with my college friend and her officemates. I’m not sure where Calaguas is, but let’s go.

Singapore. 9-days vacation with the fambam. I only just found out about the extreme bungie and swings rides at Clarke Quay so that’s where I’ll be. And for the first time ever, Battlestar Galactica at Universal Studios Singapore will be open while I’m there. (Please don’t let this jinx that.)

fortune island

May-August

Fortune Island, Batangas, PH. A taste of Greek – which I am desperate for! Been planning for this trip since last year! Hopefully it’ll push through around summer.

Baler, Aurora. I’m trying to kick off an item from my 7 Things I Have Never Done Before post. I want to try out some surfing.

100 Islands, Pangasinan, PH. And speaking off kicking things off a list, I want to cliff dive from one of the islands in here. Been planning for this since last year, too.

masungi

September

Masungi Georeserve, Rizal, PH. I was supposed to celebrate my 21st at Singapore but since we’re already going on April… Change of plans. And the place looks amazing! I hope there’ll be no storm at this time.

south-korea-2

October

South Korea. 5D4N stay to have a taste of autumn with my college buddies – again. If my VISA got denied, you guys will know. I’ll cry about it, lol.

That’s… it! So many things to be excited about – and so many travels I still have to save up for, tbh. This is why I was so keen on saving up last year! Haha! My post last year should have been called, “How I Saved Up 100K In a Year to Travel for Next Year.”

Also, I can’t wait for the year where my travel plans will include Europe or America. That’s probably on or before 2020, thus, my, #RichelGoesToEurope2020 travel goals.

Where will you be going this year?

xoxo, Richel V.

Exciting travel plans! I’m not sure I can afford to visit country after country in consecutive months. Maybe in the next few years. Excited to read about your future travel posts – especially Japan. Still hoping we get to score affordable plane tickets for next year. Finger crossed and everything!

Thanks! Thank you for dropping by as well! 🙂

To be honest, I’m overwhelmed with the international travels I’ve booked for this year. Hahaha! I should have sticked to local first. I’d love to read your future travel entries too, Janine! I especially loved your Cebu stories and I hope I can visit that soon!

Go travel while still young and able! 🙂 How many days are you going to be in Baguio? My husband and I will be there by March – it’s over the weekend. Hopefully, I can read your entries before we go there and it’s my first time to be in Baguio! :))

Oo, konting tiis na lang! When I was a student (I can’t believe that was less than two years ago now), all my travels are where my parents want to drag me to. So those are all pretty much resorts, malls and trips to SG – where my father is working. You’ll have lots of freedom to go wherever once you get a job! I promise. 😉

Your travel plans sound amazing, I would love to go to South Korea & Hongkong – the trip with your college friends will be so exciting! My first trip without parental guidance was to Gran Canaria if I’m not mistaken – it was so much fun! I’ll hopefully go to France & Italy this year (to do workaway) and other than that I’ll try to visit my friends in Bavaria, Hamburg etc. Oh and my mother and me are planning a weekend trip and a longer trip in summer but we don’t know where we’ll go haha – somewhere in Southern Europe I guess. 🙂 Other than that I’m moving to a different in September which I’m very excited for. :)xx

My 2016 travel plans will happen mostly in Manila. Probably in Mckinley Hill, in my office desk with my machine. Hahahahaha. You have work-life balance! So envy youuuuuu! Huhuhu.

I have a question, do you have family or relatives in Singapore? I remember your comment on my blog that you stayed in Singapore for months before. I’m just a little curious. Hihi

Ask for leaves, LA! Hahahaha. I have to admit that I had to ask for most of my leaves last year so it’ll be approved, lol.

My father and half of his siblings are working in SG. So it’s mostly like our very-far province since we really don’t have one. 🙂

      Thanks, LA!

Wow, so much plans for this year! I’m glad you have more local trips than international ones 🙂

On your January, I think you meant Calatagan, Batangas? On your April, Calaguas is in Camarines Sur.

Which haunted house are you visiting in Baguio? I’ve been to Diplomat Hotel with friends and it doesn’t feel that scary because there are also people visiting the place. I also wanted to visit Laperal White House but it looks creepy and Gerald is scared. Hahahaha He loves horror films, but he’s scared of haunted houses. Sabi nya takot lang daw sya para sakin, kasi baka sapian ako. Hahaha And oh, I suggest you go to 50’s Diner! That’s one of the reasons why I keep coming back to Baguio. Haha

Wish you’ll be able to visit all the places you listed here 🙂 I have already been to nearby places recently despite of planning not to travel this year. Haha I have two booked trips coming up though I’m not sure if I’ll push the second one. I have a lot of priorities for this year so I’m setting travel aside for now. 🙂

Oops. I already fixed the *Calatagan one. Thanks for telling me. Haha!

I think we’ll be going to Diplomat Hotel but it’s around 3PM so it won’t be that scary. Which is great, because if it’s night time, I won’t go. Hahaha. San malapit yung 50’s Diner? I’ll suggest we add that to our itinerary then. Thanks for the suggestion, Mei!

My international and Baguio trip are already paid for. I just wish the rest of my PH trip will push through (plus more, if possible haha). Travel is mostly my priority this year so I’m really excited how everything will play out. 😉
