Life Lately: March Madness

March-Madness

Welcome to this month’s life lately. As mentioned on my last life lately post, I like doing this in paragraph form. So sit tight, have a little patience, and watch me ramble on and on and on about how I spend March.

I promised myself I’ll chill this entire month but that all changed when my dad suddenly decided to buy a one-way ticket back to Manila last March 17. Originally, he was only supposed to stay for four days but he decided to take some unpaid leaves so he stayed until March 30. This pretty much means that we’re out every day for the past two weeks. I’m feeling so bloated but my savings feels like they’ve been harassed. I can’t wait for payday.

In addition to that, I feel like I’m always tired even if I get eight hours of sleep. Side effect of going out every day, I’m sure. I’m more burnt out than I am last month and that’s saying something. I’ll probably spend the entire Sunday sleeping in since my brother’s graduating on Saturday and I have to put on my supportive sister mask. Just kidding, I am a supportive and proud sister. Sometimes.

In three weeks’ time, I’ll be off for a week-long vacation in Singapore to spend summer with Papa. My mom and brothers will be staying much longer than me.I haven’t started on any itinerary though I certainly have the time this past week. I’m just feeling so uninspired and unmotivated to do anything productive. I guess I’m in a funk? Hoping to get out of it soon. BUT I am very excited to go. I need to get out of Manila heat ASAP. I feel like any second now, I’m going to melt in a puddle.

More travel backlogs to do once my SG trip is over. I’m almost finished with my Hong Kong backlogs though. Have you guys gotten the chance to read them yet? I’m only going to do two more posts (itinerary + budget and guesthouse review) then I’m done with Hong Kong for now. Doing all those posts makes me want to go back ASAP though. I’m waiting for airline promo fares.

I’ve been receiving e-mails about possible sponsorship and collaboration with my blog which is both flattering and frightening. They’re still sitting in my inbox as I have no clue on how to reply to them. But I’ll get to it ASAP once I figure stuff out. Someone please send help. Hahaha!

Speaking of, I won the ShopCoupon x Lazada Philippines contest that I joined. I got a PHP 1000 voucher so I’ll probably have an Instax before my SG trip. Thanks guys for showing love on that post. That might have helped the judges pick my contest entry over others.

Watched Batman vs. Superman the other day and I didn’t like it. At all. Except for Wonder Woman, I liked her. I’ve never liked Superman films because it was boring to me but I thought this one would be different. I was wrong. At one point, I was so close to snoozing off just to realize that my brother was already sleeping. I heard comic book fans loved it but it was a boring superhero movie for me. I thought the god vs. man theme they have going was cool though.

I’m going on a blog-hop now to find some new blog faves or just plain inspirations. Do you guys have any suggestions?

How’s your March been?

xoxo, Richel V.

Congrats on your sponsorship. If I was the one who has that, i’ll probably be like, wow someone appreciate my blog now. Thank you Lord! Hahaha! Anyway, congrats on winning a voucher as well. A lot of people are telling me that Batman vs Superman is quite not good but I still want to see it myself but I guess I don’t really have time at the moment to watch a movie. Hahaha! Will look forward on you upcoming travel post. 🙂

I was really surprised to get those emails, haha! Not sure how they end up on my blog, tbh. The comic book fans seems to love the Batman vs Superman movie. But no one in my entire family liked the film. The action scenes are okay but the storyline is kind of dragging for me. Hehe.

It sounds like you had a great month! Having a lot to do is great, even though it would mean you have less sleep. Hope you’ll enjoy your trip to Singapore in a few weeks!

A lot of people didn’t really like the Batman v Superman movie. It’s mostly due to the choice of actors and the storyline (eg. Isn’t Batman and Superman supposed to be roughly the same age?). Wonder Woman is really great though!

Still waiting for the month where I’ll get eight hours of sleep everyday. Looks like April is not that month, as well. LOL.

They look the same age though? Haha. Not sure. I think the actors are okay, especially Wonder Woman’s. The storyline is just not my cup of tea. Have you watched it?

I am surprised that you didn’t like Batman vs. Superman! From someone who isn’t a fan of either of them, I think they did justice to the film! That, or movies like such simply amuse me. Hehehe! 😀

I think they put a lot of focus on the man vs. god angle and I was looking for the kick-ass action that’s why I was bored on the first half. Hahaha! I think it’s a good film but it’s not one that I would personally enjoy. I wouldn’t even watch it but my dad treated the entire fam. Hehe.

I agree with most people, however, that the film was slow-paced…

Enjoy your trip to SG! I might warn you, though, the heat here is not much different in Manila, maybe even worse. So don’t get your hopes up! Lol!

Congratulations on the Lazada contest, and the sponsorships! You should reply back, they’re great opportunities. 🙂

I have read reviews about BvS not being good before I watched it. But the hype is just too high to give it a miss, so what the hell, I still saw it. The reviews didn’t lie, though. On the early parts of the movie, I fell asleep, it just became interesting when Wonder Woman came out of the picture. Good thing Superman is handsome, it’s a nice consolation, the tickets are not totally wasted. Haha.

At least there’s an abundance of roofs in Singapore unlike in Manila where we’re really walking directly under the sun! Hahaha!

Thanks, Clarisa! I already replied to some urgent ones. Still have to see where it’ll lead. 🙂

But the comic book fans swear by the movie! It only got interesting when Wonder Woman came out, I agree. Girl crush! Hahaha! I guess I’m also more of a Marvel girl rather than a DC one. 😀

You should probably answer those emails haha! Congratulations on winning the Lazada contest! Lucky you’ll get to see Singapore. I might go there when I graduated. I really need to see that country 🙂 I’m not gonna watch the Superman vs. Batman movie, I have a feeling I’ll be disappointed. I never liked them as much as I like Captain America anyway 😀

I totally should but I forget about it when I actually have free time. Bad habit, hahaha! Thanks, Dice! Singapore is a nice place to go to celebrate graduation. So many sights to see, even if it’s a small place. 🙂 True. I like Captain America more than Superman. I guess I’m more of a Marvel girl. 😀

Great news on the sponsorships! Read thoroughly for there are companies that will you squeeze you out of what you’re worth because of a tricky contract!

I can’t wait for your travel posts about Singapore, I hope you’ll have a great vacation! Don’t worry about feeling unproductive or uninspired, we all go through times like that, especially because blogging requires a large amount of creativity. I sometimes take a few days of blogging or I buy magazines for inspiration. Another thing that really helps me is blogging from a café, I’m way more productive when not working from home. xx

I still have to make an itinerary or else I’ll be stuck in malls while at Singapore! Hahaha! Haven’t really worked in a cafe for years now. Might just do it when the schedule clears up a bit. Thanks for the advice, Mira! Happy April 1st! 😀
